Last year, we had the pleasure of staying at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa during our trip to Japan, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. This hotel came highly recommended by my parents, who had visited a few years earlier, and we were not disappointed. Located in the heart of Kanazawa, this hotel offers everything one could wish for: convenience, comfort, and a touch of luxury.
The location is one of the biggest perks of staying at Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa. It’s just a short 6-minute taxi ride from Kanazawa Station, or about a 20-minute walk if you prefer to stretch your legs. This central location made it incredibly easy for us to explore the city. From the hotel, we could easily walk to major attractions like Kanazawa Castle Park, Kenroku-en Garden, the Ōmichō Market, the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Higashi Chaya District. We spent our days wandering these beautiful sites, absorbing the history and culture of Kanazawa. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast buffet included with our reservation. The buffet had the usual breakfast fare like scrambled eggs and bacon, but the real treat was the selection of local specialties. We indulged in Kanazawa Curry, Noto Beef, Jibuni (a local duck dish), and Kanazawa Oden. These are unique in this region and you don’t find them outside of the region much. Eating these delicacies with a view of the hotel’s serene garden was the perfect way to start our day.
The hotel’s onsen, a traditional Japanese hot spring bath, was another standout feature. Located on the top floor, the onsen offers stunning views of the city, making the experience even more special. Soaking in the mineral-rich waters was incredibly relaxing and a perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The onsen is open 24/7, so you can enjoy a soak any time you like.
Our room at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa was both comfortable and stylish. The 257 guest rooms are elegantly designed and equipped with modern amenities, including high-speed internet, flat-screen TVs, and private bathrooms stocked with toiletries. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the soundproofing ensured we had a peaceful night’s sleep every night.
While we didn’t use them, the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa l also offers several meeting and event spaces. It’s good to know that if you’re planning a corporate event, wedding, or any special occasion, the hotel’s expert event planners are on hand to ensure everything goes smoothly.
For those looking to relax even more, Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa has an onsite spa offering a range of treatments and services. Whether you want a massage, a beauty treatment, or just some time in the sauna, hot tub, or steam room, the spa is the perfect place to rejuvenate. There’s also a fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment for cardio and strength training if you want to keep up with your workout routine.
In summary, our stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa was nothing short of excellent. The combination of its convenient location, delicious breakfast buffet, and luxurious onsen made our visit truly memorable. Whether you’re visiting Kanazawa for the first time or returning for another adventure, we highly recommend staying at this hotel. It provided us with a perfect base to explore the city and created memories we’ll cherish forever. If you’re planning a trip to Kanazawa, consider Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa for a stay that blends comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury.
