Our journey, which bridges two cultures, has been nothing short of an adventure, and we’re excited to share that with you.

I am originally from Japan, a country that holds a dear place in my heart even as I’ve made a life here in the United States. Pursuing higher education was my initial bridge to the US, leading me to earn a Master’s Degree and a Ph.D. from American universities. The journey was challenging but rewarding, and I’ve tried to maintain perseverance and curiosity throughout my life.

Bill, on the other hand, is a seasoned IT professional with an impressive 40 years of experience under his belt. His expertise and passion for technology have not only shaped his career but have also been integral in bringing our vision for JP Connection to life.

Together, we’ve been partners in both life and adventure for 25 years. Our bond was forged through a shared love for all things Japanese, a passion that has only grown stronger with time. We have traveled annually to Japan without fail since our marriage in 2000—except, of course, during the unforeseen pause brought by the COVID-19 years. These journeys have been more than just vacations; they’ve been opportunities to reconnect with my roots and for both of us to immerse ourselves in the culture that we adore.

Our love for Japan is more than just a hobby; it’s a significant part of who we are. We consider ourselves Japanophiles, devoted to embracing and celebrating the rich tapestry of Japanese culture, from its traditional heritage to its modern innovations.
